| |  | Looking at the original source of water for the village of Chisichili demonstrates the importance of our project to bring them a clean source of water. The project started in 2007 and was complete in 2009. Click here to see pictures of the water project. |

| ROADWORK |
| |  | The People of Chisichili constantly battled with problems associated with a major rain water runoff ditch in the middle of their main service driveway, limiting much needed aid to their village. The leadership of the village came together, enlisted the help of a retired road expert and developed a plan to build a small bridge over the ditch. The plan included a great deal of volunteer work from the villagers themselves. They presented the plan to TLP with a request for funding. We were very happy to support this effort recognizing the importance of the work and the proactive spirit of the village leadership and community in addressing their problem. Our local Tanzania Life Project Leader, Ben Mlula (right), presents the Chisichili village Chairman, Edward Chibada, and the road expert, Mr. Lemabi, with our funds to do the job! |

| FOOTBALL FUN |
| |  | We are extremely thankful to the Walpole, MA and Champlin, MN Soccer Associations for their donations of soccer jerseys and soccer balls. The youth and young adults of the villages play "football" (American soccer)on a regular basis, but many times have makeshift balls made of plastic bags and twine. They were very happy to receive the gifts and played a special game in honor of their donors.
