An Unexpected Donation from a Very Motivated Missionary!

The Tanzania Life Project is extremely grateful for a recently received but unexpected gift of $20,000 from an effort led by Sandy Baldwin, who resides in St. Cloud, MN. Through Sandy’s passion and leadership, she was able to rally a group of students and alumni from Cathedral High School, as well as her surrounding community, in a lenten water project which netted this amazing result. Being a religious education teacher at Cathedral High School, Sandy presented to 26 classes of hers suggesting that the students give up soda pop for two weeks during lent, and contribute the money instead to a project providing water for the less fortunate in Tanzania. Sandy also reached out to the Holdingford community by giving 4 more presentations. These efforts netted $10,000 for the Tanzania Life Project. The Sexton Foundation promised to match Sandy's efforts and added another  $10,000 (Sextons are alumni of Cathedral High School).  Sandy and some of her students had visited northern Tanzania earlier this year, and were motivated by the lack of clean water existing in the small villages of Tanzania.
